     There are many new tourist projects at Con Dao island such as Evason Hideway Six Sense at Dat Doc; Bai Ong Dung Convalescense resort; Vietnam –  Russia luxury eco-resort at Ben Dam, Poulo Condor at Bai Vong – Co Ong etc. Among it, resort at Dat Doc whose total invested capital hit $US 38 mln, is going to be run in Jan 2011.

      According to Mr. Bui Van Binh – Chairman of People’s Committee Con Dao, running multi-scale resorts with attractive services will enrich tourist sites at Con Dao, supply more choice for tourist to stay and more jobs for local dwellers as well as gather more benefit for district’s budget.

      In 2010, Con Dao Island welcomed and served 40.323 turns of tourists, 64,6% higher than last year, in which foreign tourists made up 3.793, up 72,4% over the same period last year. Total revenue from tourist service is estimated to hit 55,68 bln VND, reached 222,7% of plan, increased 106,2 % over last year.
